Truly enjoyed our extremely spacious and good rooms in this place.
The hotel had comfy location so close to the mountains and main square and very quiet. Dined at El Torito, it was at a medium distance from the venue. The room we had included cable TV, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator.

The owner of Casa Salkantay was really accommodating and helpful. She introduced us to a tour agent and her son even helped us with our bags when we went to Machu Picchu. The breakfast was fresh and varied, and we even received breakfast on the day we arrived, which wasn't technically included. The location is great, within walking distance to the center and close to bus drop-off points for tours. Despite the owner's limited English, she made an effort with Google Translate and it was enough to communicate effectively.
Felt super comfortable, no complaints.

Clean rooms - comfy beds, and hot showers. Great location - just a 15-minute walk from the town centre with lovely streets to explore. The host provided fantastic local advice and even booked taxis for us. Plus - they made packed lunches for our early morning departures.

I stayed at Casa Salkantay for a few days after a big hiking trip and a long bus ride, and it was exactly what I needed. The owner, Susana, was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. She even woke up at 3 AM to make sandwiches for me to take with me on my early morning departure. The hotel is a bit further away from the city center, but it's easy to get there by Uber or taxi. It's a quiet and cozy family-owned place where I felt like I was part of the family. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of blankets. The shower had hot water, which was a luxury in Peru. The breakfast was delicious and varied every day, and Susana and her family were always there to help and provide suggestions. The hotel also had free Wi-Fi and tea available throughout the day. If you're hungry, there's a great pizza place nearby that offers tasty pizza and empanadas at a good price. I had a wonderful stay at Casa Salkantay and would definitely return.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Great surprise! It feels like you're a guest at their house and they are the nicest persons ever. The owner went out of her way to make me a sandwich for my trekking adventure and even invited me to a traditional ceremony. The breakfast was fresh and varied every day. The location is walking distance to the center and there are buses that drop off close by. The owner, despite speaking limited English, tries her best and with the help of Google Translate, communication was not a problem.
The facilities could use some updating as some parts were old and damaged. The showers and ceilings need work to make the place look nicer.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, always willing to help me find activities in the surrounding area. The room was incredibly clean and the beds were really comfy. I loved the fact that my room had a private bathroom. The breakfast they served was excellent, and they even allowed me to choose the time that I wanted to have it. The location was also perfect - just a 12-minute walk to the main square of this city. I loved being in a quiet neighborhood and still being so close to everything.
Couldn't stay longer.

The hosts were accommodating and helped us change our dates. They introduced us to a good tour agent and even carried our bags to our next accommodation. Breakfast was fresh and varied, and they went above and beyond by providing it on our arrival day. Convenient location.
